2025 Registrations are now open
The Junior Heavies program was established in 2019 to create a genuine pathway for players to transition from the UQ Junior Bullsharks to senior rugby with the UQ Rugby Club.
Competing in the Brisbane Junior Rugby Union competition, our Junior Heavies teams benefit from expert guidance provided by UQ Rugby, supporting their development from U13s all the way to Junior Colts.
Benefits Of Being a JUNIOR HEAVY
- A genuine pathway for junior rugby players to progress to senior rugby at one of Australiaβs most prominent and successful rugby clubs - University of Queensland Rugby Club.
- Amazing home training and playing fields at Graceville Memorial Park (home of the UQ Juniors), as well as annual game days at the UQ St. Lucia Campus.
- Access to a Junior High Performance Coaching Camp at St. Lucia during school holidays.
- In 2025, the Club will take several teams on a Tour of Northern NSW, playing games against local junior rugby teams.
